Moxfield is a deck builder website for Magic: the Gathering®

Everything we make on Moxfield works on any device or screen size. We will also be releasing a native mobile app for Android and iOS. The app will mostly be a wrapper for the website, with some additional native capabilities like push notifications.

When building a deck on a budget, wood is the cheaper choice. Make sure you choose pressure-treated lumber as using untreated wood is just asking for trouble. Being exposed to rain, snow, sun, and wind will do a number on wood that is not properly weatherproofed.

Moxfield is a closed-source passion project created by Harry Finocchiaro and John Tull. Decks with a lower mana curve can get away with the average land base of 37 to 38 lands, a few mana dorks, and three to five mana rocks. A deck with a low mana curve can get away with having 6-8 forms of ramp while builds with higher mana curves should run at least 10 to 12 ramp sources.

A primer is a detailed guide on how to use something (in this case, a person's deck). Moxfield primers are written using Markdown, a plain-text formatting language. However, we also add in some of our own flavor to allow you to do special things with Moxfield (e.g., adding card hovers and collapsible sections, etc).

In order to create a deck, you need to login. Moxfield is free, so head over to Register if you need an account. Once you're logged in, you can create a new deck from anywhere on the site by clicking the + New Deck button on the top right. On smaller screens, the New Deck text is replaced by just the + sign.

You can hold the Shift key and click on any card in a deck to bring up the Change Tags window. Special note: You cannot remove tags in Bulk Edit.
