There’s something just so delightful about a Wendy’s Frosty. It’s the perfect not-too-sweet treat that feels indulgent without being overly decadent.

But since the Ninja Creami makes it so easy to whip up frozen treats at home, I decided to try to make a concoction that rivaled the Frosty.

I’ve made several Ninja Creami chocolate ice creams, all of which were delicious. But none of them were quite as close to the Frosty as I wanted.

Until now, that is!

This delicious Ninja Creami copycat Frosty recipe is a super simple recipe that’s easy to make and tastes amazing!

You can serve it in scoops or let it soften even more to a soft-serve consistency.

Making a Chocolate Frosty in the Ninja Creami

I’ve made Ninja Creami chocolate ice cream with chocolate milk before, and that was pretty close to a Frosty.

But after making several Ninja Creami recipes with pudding mix, I decided to add a little bit of pudding mix to the chocolate milk.

That, my friend, was just the ticket! It helps to improve the texture and sweetness, making it just right.

After the initial spin, I like to Re-spin it with a tablespoon of chocolate milk to thin it out just a bit more, so it’s similar to the consistency of a Frosty.

This makes it thicker than a milkshake, but a little thinner than regular ice cream.

It has just enough chocolate flavor to taste like a Frosty, but not so much that it tastes like a deep chocolate ice cream.

How to Make a Ninja Creami Frosty

It’s incredibly easy to make this tasty treat.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

Chocolate milk
Instant chocolate pudding mix
Vanilla extract

How to Make it:

Dissolve pudding mix. In a small mixing bowl or large liquid measuring cup, combine chocolate milk and pudding mix.

Whisk or blend with an immersion blender until the pudding is completely dissolved. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Transfer mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container, being careful not to exceed the max fill line.

Freeze. Close the pint lid and transfer it to a level surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours.

Spin. Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, securing the outer bowl lid.

Place bowl apparatus into the Ninja Creami machine, locking it into place. Press the Lite Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

Check consistency. Remove the pint from the machine and check the texture of the ice cream.

If it appears crumbly or chunky, you can insert it back into the machine and use the Re-spin function to spin it again.

If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of chocolate milk (or regular milk) and Re-spin once more.

It should be nice and creamy then!

Notes and Adaptations:

I used regular chocolate milk, not fat free.
I used regular instant chocolate pudding mix, but sugar free should work fine as well if you prefer that. If you’re going to use sugar-free pudding mix, I recommend sticking with regular chocolate milk instead of low-fat or skim.
The vanilla extract does not give it a vanilla flavor, but simply enhances the chocolate flavor. If you don’t have any on hand, you can leave it out.

Use a whisk or immersion blender to mix well, until all pudding mix is dissolved.
Add vanilla extract and stir to incorporate.
Transfer mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container and close the lid. Place pint on a level surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours.
Remove pint from freezer and take off lid. Place container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, securing the outer bowl lid.
Place bowl apparatus into the Ninja Creami machine and select the Lite Ice Cream function. Allow the process to complete.
Remove pint from machine and check the ice cream's consistency. If it appears crumbly, insert the pint back into the machine and use the Re-spin button. If it's still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk and Re-spin once more.
